Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Arthur Pirozhkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ron Sieler!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sieler tries to clinch up

and Pirozhkov counters with a shoot takedown. Sieler fights it but they end up in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Pirozhkov forces his way into half guard.
Pirozhkov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pirozhkov wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sieler keeps working.

Pirozhkov is working for a submission of some sort.

Pirozhkov seems to be working for a kimura but Sieler defends the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pirozhkov is trying to control. Sieler wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Pirozhkov wants to work for an arm triangle but Sieler is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Pirozhkov thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sieler's head.

Pirozhkov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sieler slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pirozhkov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sieler is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Pirozhkov drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sieler looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sieler looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sieler!
Sloppy strikes there by Sieler.
Pirozhkov gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Pirozhkov gets back to full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Pirozhkov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sieler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sieler loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Pirozhkov keeping moving, preventing Sieler from controlling successfully.

Pirozhkov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sieler doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sieler manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pirozhkov is looking for a triangle but Sieler pushes his legs off easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Pirozhkov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sieler defends well.
Pirozhkov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pirozhkov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sieler's guard.
Sieler looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pirozhkov is one step ahead there.
Pirozhkov advances to half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Pirozhkov in particular looking to stall.
Pirozhkov is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Sieler is staying active underneath Pirozhkov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Sieler is trying to stand back up but Pirozhkov is controlling him
Pirozhkov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Sieler wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Arthur Pirozhkov dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Sieler moves to clinch but Pirozhkov breaks away

and Pirozhkov counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Sieler's guard now.
Pirozhkov wants to control from the top but Sieler keeps moving.
Pirozhkov prevents Sieler from getting back to his feet.
Pirozhkov controls from within his opponent's guard.

Pirozhkov drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Pirozhkov jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Pirozhkov won't allow Sieler to get back to his feet.
Sieler looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Pirozhkov drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Pirozhkov seems to have locked his on tight now - Sieler screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Pirozhkov, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Arthur Pirozhkov!
