Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabio Alexandre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Mac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fabio Alexandre! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexandre clinches up with Mac and pushes him back against the cage. Mac ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mac no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Alexandre must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Alexandre wants to stand but Mac is controlling his posture from full guard. Alexandre trying to control but Mac is working from the bottom. Mac wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Alexandre is looking to stand up but Mac won't let him.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Fabio Alexandre hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Alexandre throws a sloppy head kick and Mac moves out of range easily. Alexandre gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mac to score an easy takedown into full guard. Mac pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Alexandre is keeping the position for now. Mac might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mac is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Mac is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Alexandre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mac gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alexandre is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mac looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Mac advances to half guard. Mac is taking a breather. Alexandre says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mac is thwarting Alexandre's attempts to control the position. Mac controlling the pace. Mac is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Alexandre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mac is working away from the top position though. Mac landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Mac stops Alexandre from getting back to his feet.
Alexandre looks gassed!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alexandre trying to hold on to Mac's head to control him but Mac postures up.
Mac is working for a kimura but Alexandre is defending it quite comfortably.
Still in half guard, Mac seems content to control. Mac is looking for a kimura but Alexandre is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mac to get the leverage. Alexandre has hold of Mac's hands but Mac slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. This has been an exciting period of action! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Mac passes to side control. Mac looks up at the clock and then as Alexandre takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mac smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Mac dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Alexandre scores with a takedown into Mac's guard. Mac has Alexandre pulled in close to control his posture. Mac keeping moving, preventing Alexandre from controlling successfully. Mac seems keen to control Alexandre's posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Fabio Alexandre. No luck with that takedown attempt from Mac.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alexandre closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mac to the mat! Mac manages to get full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Mac has control of Alexandre's left arm, preventing Alexandre from doing any damage. Alexandre wants to control from the top but Mac keeps moving. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Alexandre is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mac is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mac has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alexandre is trying to control the position but Mac postures up. Alexandre can't keep his opponent in guard - Mac advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Alexandre has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mac is working away from the top position though. Mac performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mac thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Mac in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Alexandre tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Mac!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Mac!
