The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rizzuto connects with a body shot that sends Alexandrov's belly button to the back.
Alexandrov fails with the takedown.
Alexandrov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Alexandrov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rizzuto's waist but Rizzuto gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Alexandrov off to one side.
Alessandro Rizzuto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anton Alexandrov.
Rizzuto thumps Alexandrov with a low kick.
Rizzuto lands a really nice looking cross but Alexandrov seems unphased.

Alexandrov uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rizzuto.
Rizzuto throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Rizzuto lands with a light punch inside.
Alexandrov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Rizzuto lands a nice elbow.

That has opened up Anton Alexandrov's cut even more.
Rizzuto lands a left hand that snaps the head of Alexandrov backwards.
Alexandrov drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Alexandrov takes a shot to the head.

Alexandrov is trying to drag Rizzuto to the mat but Rizzuto just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Rizzuto tries to work over Alexandrov's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Rizzuto lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Alexandrov backwards.
Alexandrov wants a takedown but no success here.

Alexandrov wants to take the fight to the mat but Rizzuto manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Rizzuto.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Anton Alexandrov's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
