Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Ruiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carlos Ruiz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dante Sanders! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanders thows a body shot but no joy. Sanders showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ruiz.
Sanders ducks under a wild hook from Ruiz. Ruiz tries to bum rush Sanders with a series of wild strikes but Sanders uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ruiz fails in his attempt to clinch. Ruiz throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sanders. Ruiz is looking to clinch. Ruiz fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sanders. Ruiz tries to clinch there but Sanders circles away.
Ruiz fails to land with a series of punches.
Ruiz connects with a nice looking jab.
A combination from Ruiz does no damage. Ruiz tries to score with a low kick but Sanders moves his leg out of the way. Ruiz digs a good body shot into Sanders's ribs. A good leg kick by Ruiz. Ruiz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ruiz there as he acknowledges the shot. Ruiz pushes Sanders away with a front kick. That's one minute gone in the round. Ruiz cracks Sanders with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Sanders is rocked! A slapping leg kick lands for Ruiz.
Sanders is still on wobbly legs! Can Ruiz finish him? Ruiz drops Sanders with a right and a left! Ruiz comes rushing in but Sanders regains his composure and manages to keep Ruiz in guard.
Sanders looks gassed! Ruiz not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Ruiz drops back looking for a leg! Sanders is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Sanders manages to kick Ruiz off! Ruiz jumps back into Sanders's guard. Ruiz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sanders is proving hard to escape from. Sanders looking for a guillotine here but Ruiz defends easily.
Sanders seems to have recovered his senses. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sanders wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ruiz sitting in guard, not really doing much. Sanders looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Ruiz passes Sanders's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Ground and pound from Ruiz. Ruiz stalling. Ruiz not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ruiz tries to stand but can't do so whilst Sanders controls his leg. Sanders is looking to control Ruiz's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Sanders avoid being mounted?
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ruiz postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Sanders to stand up. Ruiz tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sanders swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sanders misses with a body shot
and Ruiz counters with a good low kick that Sanders was not able to check. Ruiz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sanders tries to avoid it but Ruiz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sanders to the ground. Sanders escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sanders rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ruiz moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ruiz throws a leg kick but Sanders sees it coming and checks it nicely. Sanders connects with the punch. A punch lands to the side of Ruiz 's head but he takes it in his stride. Sanders with a lazy takedown attempt and Ruiz counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Ruiz is looking to clinch but Sanders is avoiding it.
Ruiz cracks Sanders with an open hand slap. Sanders takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ruiz throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Sanders counters with a big head kick but Ruiz shrugs it off. Ruiz clinches with his opponent.
Sanders dodges an elbow strike from Ruiz.
Ruiz is trying to stall.

Ruiz lands on the inside with an uppercut. Ruiz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sanders doesn't manage to clinch there - Ruiz circles away.
Ruiz uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sanders. Sanders tries a head kick but it misses.
Ruiz attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. A big right from Sanders misses. Carlos Ruiz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Ruiz forces Sanders back against the cage and clinches. Sanders has Ruiz pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Ruiz manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Ruiz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Sanders closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sanders is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ruiz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Carlos Ruiz dominated that round. The cut man is working on Dante Sanders's cut. That's time! Ruiz's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sanders feints and as Ruiz raises his hands in defense, Sanders changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Ruiz keeping moving, preventing Sanders from controlling successfully. Sanders stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruiz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Sanders in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanders is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Sanders throws a big right hand that misses. Sanders drops back looking for a leg! Ruiz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ruiz manages to kick Sanders off! Sanders jumps back into Ruiz's guard. Sanders tries to free his leg and advance position but Ruiz is retaining full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ruiz is trying to keep Sanders in close.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. A bone on bone clash there as Sanders blocks the leg kick.
Ruiz walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Sanders checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Ruiz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Sanders's calf. Ruiz pushes Sanders up against the cage in a clinch. A short body shot lands from Ruiz as the two fighters clinch.
Sanders prevents Ruiz from breaking the clinch. Ruiz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Sanders.

Ruiz lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Sanders swings away with a body shot that misses
and Ruiz counters with a good low kick that Sanders was not able to check. Sanders avoids a punch combination nicely.

Sanders feints and then cracks Ruiz's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ruiz down. Sanders on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Ruiz gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sanders looking to pass the guard. Ruiz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sanders trying to control the position from guard on top but Ruiz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sanders looking to pass the guard. Ruiz has Sanders pulled in close to control his posture. Ruiz can't keep his opponent in guard - Sanders advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Sanders trying to control the position from guard on top but Ruiz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sanders looking to pass the guard. Sanders is pushing down on Ruiz's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ruiz is fighting to maintain full guard but Sanders has managed to sneak the leg through. Sanders throwing shots but Ruiz is blocking nicely. Ruiz is defending against the submission attempts here by Sanders.
Sanders wants to take a breather but Ruiz is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sanders missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Sanders wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ruiz keeps working. Sanders is controlling the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sanders misses with a series of wild punches.

Dante Sanders showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Dante Sanders's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Sanders cracks a nice hook into Ruiz's ribs. Ruiz tries to clinch but Sanders is having none of it. Ruiz shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Sanders keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ruiz. Ruiz throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

Ruiz throws and low kick but Sanders moves out of range easily. Sanders scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Sanders will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ruiz connects with a solid leg kick. Sanders wants to clinch. Sanders circles away from the clinch attempt and Sanders holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Sanders lands a nice knee to the body. Ruiz lands with a short head shot on the inside. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Sanders has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ruiz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Ruiz wants to stall.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ruiz wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Sanders has him pressed against the cage. Sanders misses with the head strike.

He's pushed Sanders's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Carlos Ruiz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dante Sanders. Sanders walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ruiz. Sanders throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ruiz. Carlos Ruiz is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sanders drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sanders tries to advance to mount but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanders tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Sanders trying to control the position but Ruiz is working away.

Ruiz is looking to regain half guard here but Sanders keeps moving and retains side control. Ruiz defending against the ground and pound.

And that's the end of the fight! Dante Sanders comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Sanders has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
