Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Draven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gil Gilbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Eric Draven!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gil Gilbert!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilbert tries to close the distance and clinch but Draven swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Draven lands with a nice body kick.
Draven misses with a head kick.
Gilbert blocks a head kick by Draven.
Gilbert tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Draven paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Draven throws a nice outside leg kick.
Gilbert takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gilbert misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Gilbert shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Draven manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gilbert postures up in Draven's guard and throws a big left but Draven blocks it.
Gilbert tries to free his leg and advance position but Draven is retaining full guard.
Draven wants to sweep but no luck.

Gilbert postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Draven is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gilbert, into his guard.
Gilbert thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Draven content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Gilbert wants to sweep but no luck.
Draven wants to control from the top but Gilbert keeps moving.

Draven controls the position.
Draven passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Gilbert!

Draven throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Gilbert because Draven loaded up on that one.

Gilbert is wriggling around trying to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gilbert wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Gilbert is really stuck here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gilbert changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Draven tries to avoid it but Gilbert manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Draven to the ground. Draven escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Draven misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Draven scoring well with a low kick there.
Draven throws a shot to the body.
Draven tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gilbert fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gilbert stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Draven.
Draven connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Gilbert is breathing heavily.

Draven throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gilbert.
Draven throws a head kick that misses.
Draven tries a head kick but it misses.
Draven lands a head kick!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Crack! A monster head kick from Draven and Gilbert falls like a tree - timbeeeeeeeeeeerrrr! A highlight reel knockout by Draven!
