Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Diogo Moraes!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zinin stuffs the takedown attempt from Moraes. Moraes gets slowly back to his feet.
Moraes scores with a punch to the head.

Moraes rushes Zinin and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Moraes pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Moraes takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Moraes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Zinin paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Moraes moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Zinin goes down! Can Moraes finish him!?

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Moraes sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Zinin's guard.
Zinin is staying active underneath Moraes, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Moraes is trying to work for a kimura but Zinin is defending well.

Moraes wants to work for an arm triangle but Zinin is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Zinin regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Moraes.
Moraes wanted to stand there but Zinin had control of the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moraes wants to stand and escape but instead Zinin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Moraes trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Zinin throws a big elbow that misses.

Moraes working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zinin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zinin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Moraes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Moraes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zinin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Moraes seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Zinin on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Zinin tries to get out of the position.
Zinin won't allow Moraes to pass to mount.
Moraes is trying to control the action in half guard but Zinin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Zinin desperately trying to maintain half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Moraes is looking to stall here but Zinin recovers full guard.
Zinin keeping moving, preventing Moraes from controlling successfully.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Diogo Moraes hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Moraes lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Moraes lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Zinin up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Moraes from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Zinin's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Diogo Moraes!
