PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ray Oliver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oliver kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Enter Sandman-Metallica. Chris James struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

James looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! James is being controlled here. Oliver is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. James knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Oliver wants to control but James is keeping him busy. Oliver will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Oliver is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura.
