Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jurgen Klinsmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Hendo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jurgen Klinsmann has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Danny Hendo! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Klinsmann tries to keep at a distance but Hendo has taken the fight into the clinch. Hendo gets through Klinsmann's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Hendo breaks from the clinch.
Klinsmann throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Klinsmann loads up on a big right hand but Hendo slips the punch. Klinsmann waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hendo. Klinsmann scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hendo in his tracks. Hendo avoids the body shot from Klinsmann.

Klinsmann jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hendo walks away with a smile on his face. Klinsmann gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Hendo clinches. Hendo slows down the pace here.
A battle for position here, against the cage. Maybe Klinsmann would be better served going for some more strikes rather than trying to control so much.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hendo takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Klinsmann is trying to pull guard but Hendo has him pressed against the cage. Klinsmann tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Klinsmann pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Hendo throws a head punch that misses. Hendo lands a nice uppercut. Hendo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Klinsmann to the ground. Hendo is now in Klinsmann's guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Klinsmann wants to sweep but no luck. Klinsmann escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hendo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Hendo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Klinsmann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Klinsmann looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hendo passes into half guard.
Hendo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Klinsmann makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Klinsmann. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hendo scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Klinsmann is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Hendo defends well. Hendo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Klinsmann is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Klinsmann is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Klinsmann wants to sweep but no luck. Klinsmann working for a triangle but Hendo defends it easily.

Klinsmann shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hendo eats them both and turns towards Klinsmann to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Klinsmann throws a right and a left that both miss. Klinsmann is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Klinsmann is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Klinsmann is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Klinsmann is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hendo defends it well. Hendo wants to get back to his feet. Hendo connecting with a few gentle strikes. Hendo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Klinsmann is tightening it up a little... Hendo has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Hendo reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Hendo taps out! Nice BJJ there by Klinsmann!
