PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bondye Viktorye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Viktorye's entrance music is O papai chego. A fine choice. Warren has chosen God's gonna cut you down by Jonny Cash as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bondye Viktorye!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reggie Warren!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping body kick lands there for Viktorye.
Viktorye thuds his right hand into Warren's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Warren gets cracked there but stands up to it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Viktorye is defended easily by Warren.

Warren gets caught napping as Viktorye dives in and scores a takedown. Warren manages to retain guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Viktorye has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Warren bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Viktorye feints and as Warren raises his hands in defense, Viktorye changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Bondye Viktorye overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Warren takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Viktorye's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Viktorye swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Viktorye counters with a nice body kick.

Viktorye walks into a stiff left hand from Warren.

Warren shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Viktorye napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Warren wants to lay and pray for a moment but Viktorye keeps working.
Warren scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Viktorye to see if he's OK.
Viktorye can't do much from the bottom here.
Viktorye manages to get back to half guard.

Viktorye is wriggling around trying to escape.

Viktorye is looking for a sweep. Warren is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Reggie Warren has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Reggie Warren.
Well Viktorye has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bondye Viktorye tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
