Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Junior Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renan Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves has chosen Psychosocial - Slipknot as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Junior Silva has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Junior Silva seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Daniel Cesar and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva scores with a takedown into Alves's guard.

Silva wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Alves, who protects the arm well.

Alves tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position.

Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Silva dives in and grabs Alves's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alves pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.
Silva shoots for a takedown but Alves saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Silva gets tackled into the cage by Alves. Alves maintains the clinch.
Silva tightens his grip and picks Alves up, before dumping him to the ground. Alves manages to land in guard.
Silva is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Alves can do to turn this around?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Alves's head.

Alves throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Silva is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Alves is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Alves has escaped and now he's on top!
Alves got a little sloppy there for a moment and Silva has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alves has managed to get both his arms back between Silva's legs - danger averted.

Alves lying in Silva's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Silva decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Alves taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
