Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mac Intosh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Burl Ives (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Burl Ives acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mac Intosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Burl Ives!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Intosh stalks Ives and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Ives's face. Ives staggers backwards, shaken.
Ives avoids a punch combination nicely.
No joy there for Intosh, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jab from Ives.
Ives showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Intosh.
Ives connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Intosh tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ives paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ives avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ives uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Intosh.
Intosh lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ives circles away quickly and effectively.
Intosh plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Intosh misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ives throws a body punch but Intosh moves out of range.

Ives ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Intosh shoots in looking for a takedown. Ives tries to sprawl out of it but Intosh keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ives manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Intosh ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ives moves away.

Intosh attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Mac Intosh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Intosh tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Intosh has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ives uses from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ives wants to stand but Intosh has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Intosh working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ives doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ives manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ives wants to stand and escape but instead Intosh has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Intosh is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Intosh wants to control from the top but Ives keeps moving.

Intosh is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Mac Intosh has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

and Ives cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Intosh throws a half hearted mid kick.
Intosh closes the distance and clinches up with Ives, looking for a takedown. Intosh pushes Ives against the cage but Ives circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Intosh. Ives shrugs it off though.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Intosh lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Ives has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Ives and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ives will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Intosh is looking to clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Ives. Those never looked like landing.
Intosh shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ives throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Intosh stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Ives works Intosh's body with a nice hook.
Intosh is looking to clinch.
Intosh misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mac Intosh will probably get the nod.

Intosh ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Intosh no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Ives wants to stand but Intosh is controlling his posture from full guard.
Burl Ives has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Intosh holds on and takes a little breather.

Burl Ives comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
