Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Robert Crawford! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bruce Reagan! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sloppy strikes from Crawford. Those never looked like landing. Crawford scores with a one two! Reagan had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Reagan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Crawford throws a series of punches but Reagan avoids them all with ease. Crawford throws a right hand that Reagan ducks under and follows up with a left that Reagan also avoids with ease. A decent looking cross lands there for Reagan. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Reagan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Crawford circles away quickly and effectively. Reagan slips a jab and a cross from Crawford.
Reagan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A combination from Crawford does no damage. Crawford throws a right hand that Reagan ducks under and follows up with a left that Reagan also avoids with ease. Crawford throws a series of punches but Reagan moves out of range. Reagan catches Crawford napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Crawford to the canvas!
Crawford is rocked! Crawford avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Oh Crawford is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Crawford is breathing heavily. Reagan throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Crawford works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Crawford seems to have got his legs back now. Reagan lands a couple of digs. Reagan wants to pass the guard but Crawford is keeping the position. Reagan stands and steps away. Crawford gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Reagan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crawford moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Reagan plants his feet and throws a 3 punch combo. Miss, miss, boom! The third punch, a big right hook, connects right on the temple and drops Crawford to the mat, unconscious! This fight is all over! Crawford just couldn't keep out of the way of the whole flurry of punches!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bruce Reagan! Bruce Reagan is the new super heavyweight champion! Bruce Reagan took to the mic in his post fight interview and said 'BRING BACK THE BIFF!'.
