Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrique Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mendez has chosen Juno Reactor - Pistolero as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Jacobs. Mendez does a little dance to reset his feet.
Jacobs slips under a jab.
Mendez lands with a hook. Jacobs tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Jacobs shoots in but Mendez avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mendez looks to land a right hand but Jacobs moved out of range.
Mendez scores with a jab to the head.
Mendez lands with a shot to the body.
Mendez tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jacobs was well out of range. Poor timing from Mendez.

Jacobs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mendez's guard.

Mendez wants to sweep here but Jacobs controlling him for the moment.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jacobs accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Mendez has his feet on Jacobs's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Jacobs is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Jacobs is rocked!
Mendez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Oh Jacobs is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mendez gets in close and tags Jacobs with a short punch that almost sends Jacobs to the mat! Oh Jacobs is in big trouble! He turns his back on Mendez, trying to create some distance but Mendez rushes him, striking wildly and Jacobs goes down! The referee tackles Mendez into the ropes to end the fight! Mendez is one violent man!
