Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stig Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Asylbek Malybaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asylbek Malybaev looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Asylbek Malybaev!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swanson closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Malybaev's guard.
Malybaev looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Swanson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Swanson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Malybaev's half guard.

Swanson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Swanson seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Malybaev for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Swanson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Stig Swanson.

Swanson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Swanson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
