Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Koala Bare! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brandan Ladynski! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ladynski throws a chopping leg kick but Bare manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Bare shoots in for a takedown but Ladynski shows good takedown defense. Ladynski doesn't manage to clinch there - Bare circles away.
Bare scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bare wants to control but Ladynski is keeping him busy. Ladynski should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ladynski tries to bench press Bare off him but Bare keeps the position. Bare thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ladynski tries to bench press Bare off him but Bare keeps the position. Bare really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Bare is looking to take a break and control but Ladynski is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bare will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Ladynski holding on. Ladynski can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ladynski isn't going anywhere. Bare is working to tighten is grip on Ladynski's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ladynski has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bare is really squeezing tight and eventually Ladynski passes out! Bare breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
