Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Warrick Dunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jonstone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Warrick Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, John Jonstone!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jonstone closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Jonstone jumps guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Dunn with a flurry of punches that miss.
Dunn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jonstone is keeping the position for now.
Dunn is working hard here to advance position.
Jonstone avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jonstone keeping moving, preventing Dunn from controlling successfully.
Dunn slips nicely into half guard.
Dunn wants to pass to mount but Jonstone is defending the position.

Dunn jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jonstone manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Dunn is looking to take a break and control but Jonstone is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by John Jonstone.
Dunn stuffs the takedown attempt from Jonstone. Jonstone gets slowly back to his feet.

and Dunn counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Dunn shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Jonstone counters by moving into the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dunn gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jonstone to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jonstone wants to get up but he can't break Dunn's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Jonstone really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dunn. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. John Jonstone was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Dunn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Jonstone shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Jonstone was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Dunn tries to hold on but Jonstone pushes him away.
Jonstone pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Dunn is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

John Jonstone showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Dunn shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jonstone tries to clinch there but Dunn circles away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Jonstone. Dunn does a little dance to reset his feet.
Dunn tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jonstone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dunn somewhat.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jonstone.
Dunn blocks a head kick by Jonstone.
Jonstone leaves Dunn with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Warrick Dunn. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dunn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Dunn is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Jonstone is working Dunn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Jonstone does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Jonstone shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

It looks like Jonstone is going to stand back up.
Jonstone takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Dunn kicks off Jonstone and gets to his feet.
Jonstone shoots in and drives through. Dunn sprawls well.
Jonstone misses with a jab, cross combination.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Dunn.

Jonstone gets the takedown into side control.
Dunn struggling a bit here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunn sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Dunn is looking to control Jonstone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Dunn avoid being mounted?

I would just about give that final round to John Jonstone.
I think Jonstone has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
