PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Rollins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrzej Grzesiuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrzej Grzesiuk told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 15 - 0, fighting out of London, Stephen Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrzej Grzesiuk!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Grzesiuk closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Rollins keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Grzesiuk thows a huge punch but Rollins dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grzesiuk throws a strike but Rollins avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Grzesiuk throws an elbow that misses. Rollins uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Grzesiuk's guard. Nice move by Rollins!

Grzesiuk looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Grzesiuk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rollins. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Rollins in particular looking to stall.

We're going to have a standup here because Stephen Rollins wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Grzesiuk shoots in for a double leg but Rollins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Rollins drives through and clinches with Grzesiuk against the cage.

Rollins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rollins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
