Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thaksin Krabi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maron Paul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Krabi might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Twenty four Seven. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Maron Paul!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paul avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A head kick by Paul misses

and Krabi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Paul fails to pull guard.

Krabi breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Krabi instigates a clinch.

Krabi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Krabi throws a head kick but Paul moves out of range.
Krabi scores with a jab. Paul acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Paul clinches up with Krabi and pushes him back against the cage.

Paul misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Paul fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Krabi avoids it really well and circles away.
Thaksin Krabi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maron Paul.

The referee is keeping an eye on Krabi - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Paul tries to pull guard but Krabi forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Krabi is pressed up against the cage. Paul has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Krabi down to the mat. Krabi avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Paul ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Paul no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Krabi has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Paul is proving hard to escape from.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Krabi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
