Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James Yap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yap comes to the cage accompanied by go the distance. Liddell comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bring Me Down (Swollen Mix Feat. Saigon) kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! James Yap has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Yap! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Liddell! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Liddell shoots in but Yap avoids the takedown attempt easily. Danga de danga de dang - Yap scores with a four punch combination! Yap connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Liddell momentarily.
Yap bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Liddell's head. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Liddell takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Liddell is rocked! Liddell avoids a kick to the body.
Liddell is still on wobbly legs! Can Yap finish him? Yap swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Yap leaves Liddell with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Liddell seems to have recovered his senses. Liddell shoots in but Yap avoids the takedown attempt easily. James Yap has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyler Liddell. Yap displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Liddell. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Yap, right into the meat.
Yap lands a jab to the head.
Liddell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Yap as he avoids it easily. Yap rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Liddell moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Liddell shoots in for a double leg but Yap sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Liddell looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Crunch! Yap slams his shin into Liddell's torso. Yap throws a series of punches but Liddell avoids them all with ease. Yap scores with the left hand. Liddell knows he should have avoided that one. Yap pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A cross from Yap lands. Yap throws a nice inside leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Yap throws a series of punches but Liddell avoids them all with ease. Yap lands a big head kick that sends Liddell tumbling to the mat! Yap takes a step backwards and waves Liddell back to his feet - he wants the finish! Yap throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Liddell shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Yap feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Liddell's calf. Yap scores to the head and body with a nice combination! The fighters circle, before Yap throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Liddell's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Yap lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!
