Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between La Vics (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pieter Pieter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). La Vics has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, La Vics!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pieter Pieter!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vics tries to clinch
and Pieter counters with a single leg into guard. Vics didn't expect that.
Pieter postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Pieter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Vics works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Pieter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Pieter throws a strike but Vics rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Pieter working for a triangle but Vics defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pieter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Vics preventing the sweep.
Vics has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pieter is looking to sinch up a triangle. Vics throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pieter's body to avoid the submission. Pieter has instead reached around Vics's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pieter arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Pieter Pieter!
Pieter Pieter was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
