Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sean McMorrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Turner!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turner misses with a straight right.
Turner walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. McMorrow checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
A nice inside leg kick there by Turner. That's going to slow McMorrow down.
McMorrow fails with the takedown.
Turner throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Turner takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


It looks like John Turner has been cut.
McMorrow slips a jab from Turner.
John Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McMorrow lands a nice shot that snaps Turner's head back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Turner stuffs the takedown.
Turner avoids a kick to the body.
Turner loads up on a big right hand but McMorrow slips the punch.
McMorrow blocks the body kick.
McMorrow is trying hard to land a takedown here. Turner sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean McMorrow. That's going to take a lot out of him.

McMorrow changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Turner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Turner tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Turner managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by McMorrow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

McMorrow misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
McMorrow throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Sloppy strikes there by McMorrow.
McMorrow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turner keeps working.
McMorrow landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Turner is trying to control McMorrow's posture but McMorrow avoids it.
McMorrow misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Turner dodges the ground and pound from McMorrow.
McMorrow tries to score with some ground and pound. Turner controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
McMorrow wants to lay and pray for a moment but Turner keeps working.
McMorrow in side control, throwing shots but Turner defends.
Turner takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
McMorrow connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Turner some visible discomfort.
McMorrow throws an elbow but Turner slips to the side and avoids it well.
Turner regains half guard there - taking advantage of McMorrow's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
Turner moves into full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McMorrow with a flurry of punches that miss.
McMorrow trying to control but Turner is working from the bottom.
McMorrow throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Turner works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McMorrow makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
McMorrow is looking to work some ground and pound but Turner has wrist control.
McMorrow looking to pass the guard.

McMorrow throws an elbow that misses. Turner uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McMorrow's guard. Nice move by Turner!
Turner is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
McMorrow wants to sweep but no luck.
McMorrow is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
McMorrow tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sean McMorrow dominated that round.
The cut man is working on John Turner's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


McMorrow throws a head kick but Turner moves out of range.
Turner throws a leg kick but McMorrow sees it coming and checks it nicely.
McMorrow swings for the body but Turner moves out of range.
A telegraphed right hand from Turner misses the target.
Turner cracks McMorrow with a right hand to the side of the head.


It looks like Sean McMorrow has been cut.
McMorrow throws a push kick but Turner slaps the foot to one side.
McMorrow blocks a leg kick.
Turner throws a hook but McMorrow blocks it.
Turner scores with a jab to the head.
Turner steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from McMorrow. That one must have hurt.
McMorrow tests Turner's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McMorrow slips under a jab.
McMorrow throws a hook but Turner avoids it easily.
McMorrow tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Turner is able to avoid easily.
McMorrow on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Turner takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Turner throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Turner scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Turner lands a big head kick that sends McMorrow tumbling to the mat! Turner takes a step backwards and waves McMorrow back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McMorrow takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
McMorrow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Turner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
McMorrow blocks a head kick by Turner.
Turner throws out a leg kick but McMorrow moves out of range and Turner only half commits.
McMorrow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Turner avoids it really well and circles away.
Turner sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A jab from Turner misses.
Turner is looking to land body kicks.
Turner misses with a looping left.
John Turner is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Turner pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McMorrow misses with a kick to the body.
Turner ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McMorrow moves away.
Nice defenses there by Turner.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! McMorrow crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Turner - the referee stops the clock and McMorrow gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Turner. McMorrow manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
McMorrow goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Turner swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
McMorrow cracks the inside of Turner's front leg.
Turner tries to move into range but McMorrow moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
No joy there for Turner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McMorrow just misses with a punch to the body.
Turner throws a leg kick but McMorrow moved away.
McMorrow throws a body kick that misses.
Good leg kick by McMorrow there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Turner tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Turner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McMorrow was well out of range. Poor timing from Turner.
McMorrow throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice shot lands for Turner.
McMorrow slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A cross from Turner lands.


Sean McMorrow's cut is getting worse.
McMorrow thows a body shot but no joy.
Turner misses the shot to the body.
No joy there for Turner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McMorrow tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Turner was well out of range. Poor timing from McMorrow.
Turner lands a really nice looking cross but McMorrow seems unphased.
Turner throws a low kick but McMorrow avoids it.
McMorrow misses with a two punch combination.
McMorrow lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Turner misses with a low kick.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Turner wants to clinch.
McMorrow shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Turner defends it nicely.
McMorrow misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Turner.
McMorrow thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Turner if he has to take too many more of those.
Turner chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Nice uppercut lands for Turner. That snapped McMorrow's head back.
McMorrow throws a sloppy head kick
enabling Turner to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McMorrow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McMorrow works Turner's body with a nice hook.
Horrible takedown by McMorrow or perhaps it was just good defense by Turner which made him look bad.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Turner showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Turner goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
A bone on bone clash there as Turner blocks the leg kick.
McMorrow throws a wild body kick that Turner sees coming a mile off.
Turner keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
McMorrow gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Decent striking displayed by Turner there.
McMorrow moves into range and connects with a jab.
A clash of legs there as Turner blocks the low kick.
McMorrow is looking to wear down Turner with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Turner fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McMorrow looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McMorrow misses with a shot to the body
and Turner counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Turner pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Turner feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to McMorrow's calf.
McMorrow closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.


McMorrow is rocked!


Sean McMorrow's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Turner drops McMorrow with a straight left! Oh this is bad for McMorrow! Turner dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Turner!
John Turner was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
