Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Yang Tao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zaq Wu Sang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tao comes to the cage accompanied by Carl Douglas - Kung Fu Fighting. Wu Sang has chosen Europe - Rock the Night as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yang Tao! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zaq Wu Sang! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Damien Edna and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wu Sang misses with a body shot.
Wu Sang takes one to the side of the head.
Wu Sang wants to clinch up but Tao keeps it at a distance. Wu Sang shoots in looking for a takedown but Tao manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wu Sang's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wu Sang throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Tao. Wu Sang shrugs it off though. Wu Sang fails with a takedown attempt. A jab from Wu Sang misses. A bone on bone clash there as Wu Sang blocks the leg kick.
No luck for Wu Sang with that takedown attempt. Yang Tao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Zaq Wu Sang. Tao avoids the body shot from Wu Sang.
Wu Sang doesn't manage to clinch there - Tao circles away.
A chopping leg kick lands by Tao. Tao throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Tao lands with a kick to the ribs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crunch! Tao slams his shin into Wu Sang's torso. Tao lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Wu Sang fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tao manages to avoid it. Tao buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Tao throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wu Sang. Tao uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wu Sang. Tao with a nice cross. Wu Sang drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Tao motions for Wu Sang to come forward. Tao throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Tao misses with a low kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Tao. The fighters circling - Wu Sang throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Wu Sang defending well as Tao loads up on a big left hand. Tao buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Tao cracks Wu Sang with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Tao misses with a body kick. Nice sprawl there from Tao as Wu Sang shoots in. Wu Sang is trying desperately to land a takedown but Tao is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Wu Sang. Tao bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Wu Sang's head backwards. A thudding body kick lands there by Tao!

Tao throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Tao misses with a two punch combination.
Wu Sang takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Tao stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Tao wants it to stay on the feet. Wu Sang steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Tao. That one must have hurt. Wu Sang looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tao trying to hold on to Wu Sang's head to control him but Wu Sang postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tao moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Wu Sang trying to control but Tao is working from the bottom. Wu Sang postures up.
Tao wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Wu Sang is now in half guard. Tao is refusing to be controlled, as Wu Sang sits in half guard. Wu Sang throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wu Sang looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Wu Sang throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Wu Sang is stalling here. Tao is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wu Sang seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Tao has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. The referee asks Tao politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Tao prefers to stall for the moment though. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Wu Sang tries to get back to half guard but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Yang Tao dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Tao jabbing away but nothing is landing. A looping hook to the body misses from Tao. Wu Sang does a little dance to reset his feet. Tao pivots, looking for a leg kick but Wu Sang is out of range and Tao settles back down. Tao takes a body punch but keeps moving. Yang Tao is winning the standup battle so far. Good standup being displayed there by Wu Sang as he connects with a hook. Tao looks for the body kick but Wu Sang saw that one coming. Tao throws a head kick but Wu Sang moves out of range.
Wu Sang fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tao manages to avoid it. Wu Sang is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tao rather than just go for the knockout. Tao throws a leg kick but Wu Sang moved away. Wu Sang bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Tao's head. Tao tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tao stuffs the takedown. A shot to the body from Wu Sang misses and Tao counters with a body kick. Both fighters circling a little - Tao finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wu Sang takes a swing at Tao's ribcage but misses. Tao lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Tao pushes Wu Sang away with a front kick. Tao chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Tao misses with a wild body shot. Nice jab there from Tao. Wu Sang is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Tao tries to land a front kick but Wu Sang steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Tao scores with a kick to the midsection. Tao lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Wu Sang tries to score a power double leg takedown but Tao sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Wu Sang somewhat. Wu Sang with a body punch. A glancing blow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wu Sang rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Tao counters with a slapping leg kick. Wu Sang looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tao! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Wu Sang punching from mount but Tao doing a good job of avoiding damage. Tao wants to hold on but Wu Sang pushes him away. Tao is trying to escape the mount.
Wu Sang throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Wu Sang sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Tao is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wu Sang throwing strikes here but Tao is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Wu Sang throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wu Sang working away from the top, dropping strikes. Wu Sang looking to control but Tao is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Wu Sang looking to ground and pound but Tao is blocking nicely. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Wu Sang cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Zaq Wu Sang has got the better of the ground game so far. Tao is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Wu Sang unloads with some shots from mount but Tao bucks and avoids them well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wu Sang sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Wu Sang looking to control but Tao is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Wu Sang is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Tao to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tao shrugs it off. Wu Sang misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wu Sang lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Zaq Wu Sang will probably get the nod - 10:9. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Wu Sang tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Wu Sang has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Tao. A nice leg kick lands there from Tao. Wu Sang's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Tao uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wu Sang. Wu Sang takes a jab right on the kisser.

Tao lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Tao goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Tao lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Tao catches Wu Sang with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Tao keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

and Tao counters with a stiff right hand. Wu Sang closes the distance and clinches up with Tao, looking for a takedown. Wu Sang pushes Tao against the cage but Tao circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Tao throws a leg kick but Wu Sang checks it. This has been an exciting period of action! Tao steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wu Sang.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tao throws a nice inside leg kick. Wu Sang takes one to the chin there. Tao takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Tao is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Wu Sang. Tao steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Wu Sang. Tao with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Tao tries to work over Wu Sang's front leg with a kick but Wu Sang checks it. Tao fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Wu Sang. Tao throws a low kick but it's checked well by Wu Sang. An inside leg kick lands from Tao. Wu Sang on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Tao defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wu Sang. Wu Sang takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Tao throws a leg kick which misses Wu Sang's front leg but catches the back leg as Wu Sang tries to avoid it. Tao plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Tao throws a shot to the body.
Wu Sang is still on wobbly legs! Can Tao finish him? Tao dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Tao drops Wu Sang with a huge uppercut! Wu Sang drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Tao is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Yang Tao! Our winner, Yang Tao, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
