The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruiz ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Five Sixteen moves away.
Five Sixteen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ruiz did well to prevent Five Sixteen getting side control.
Five Sixteen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Ruiz pushes Five Sixteen off looking to stand but Five Sixteen dives back in and keeps control.

Five Sixteen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Matthew Five Sixteen.
Five Sixteen gets tackled into the cage by Ruiz. Ruiz maintains the clinch.

Five Sixteen goes for a takedown attempt but Ruiz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Five Sixteen shoots in for a takedown but Ruiz shows good takedown defense.
Ruiz pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Five Sixteen back to the cage. Ruiz follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ruiz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Ruiz cracks Five Sixteen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ruiz has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Five Sixteen to stand back up!
Five Sixteen is rocked!
Ruiz lands with a big right hook that stumbles Five Sixteen - he's out on his feet here! Ruiz follows up with another monster hook that separates Five Sixteen from consciousness! Five Sixteen falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Ruiz stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Nacho Ruiz!
Nacho Ruiz decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
