Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miko Shain! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thurgood Jenkins! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Jenkins. You can see the frustration on Shain's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Shain might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Jenkins working the ground and pound from side control. Jenkins is looking to take a break and control but Shain is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Shain is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shain gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jenkins seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Shain does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Shain actively working from the bottom here. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Shain looking for submissions off his back. Jenkins is keen to just control but Shain is a slippery customer.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jenkins has closed the distance and engaged Shain in a clinch.
Jenkins breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Jenkins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jenkins lands in his opponent's guard. Shain is breathing heavily. Jenkins is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Shain keeping moving, preventing Jenkins from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jenkins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jenkins content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Shain has locked up a guillotine! Shain's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Jenkins is holding on here and Shain must be using up a lot of energy. Jenkins has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Shain gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
