Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tyson Rynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Redones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jimmy Redones struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 147.7lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rynes clinches up against the cage. Redones is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Redones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rynes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Redones. Horrible takedown by Redones or perhaps it was just good defense by Rynes which made him look bad. Redones has his takedown stuffed and Rynes counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Tyson Rynes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Rynes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Redones avoids it really well and circles away. Rynes tries to sprawl but Redones drives through with a takedown into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rynes works over Redones's head and body with a nice combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rynes closes the distance and clinches up with Redones, looking for a takedown. Rynes pushes Redones against the cage but Redones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Redones is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Rynes is pressing down on Redones's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rynes is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Jimmy Redones has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Tyson Rynes. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rynes, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
