Johnson's entrance music is Till I Collapse. A fine choice. Lavar Johnson has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Roy Jones Jr! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Nard Betker and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson throws a lazy right hand but Jones Jr sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jones Jr tries to clinch but Johnson moves away and Johnson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jones Jr misses with a low kick. Jones Jr throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones Jr punishes Johnson's body with a nice straight punch. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Johnson checks a leg kick. Jones Jr tries a head kick but it misses.

Jones Jr tries to clinch but fails miserably and Johnson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Jones Jr closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side and Johnson counters with a nice body shot.

Jones Jr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Jones Jr moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Jones Jr closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones Jr looks to clinch and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Jones Jr throws a head kick but Johnson moves out of range.

Jones Jr wants to clinch and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut. Lavar Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Jones Jr moves out of range as Johnson strikes. Johnson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones Jr. Roy Jones Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A telegraphed right hand from Johnson misses the target.

and Jones Jr counters with a straight right hand. Jones Jr closes the distance looking to clinch and Johnson counters with a stiff right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Johnson lands with an overhand left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The crowd cheers as Johnson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jones Jr doesn't seem phased though. Jones Jr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A close second round but Roy Jones Jr will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Roy Jones Jr. Well Jones Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
