Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cory Conner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Yakubiskaya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Conner might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to asap rockie. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A slapping leg kick lands for Yakubiskaya.
Conner could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Conner throws a sloppy head kick and Yakubiskaya moves out of range easily.
Yakubiskaya tries for a takedown but Conner sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Conner avoids a punch combination nicely.
Conner stuffs the takedown.
Yakubiskaya drives through and clinches with Conner against the cage.
Yakubiskaya breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Conner shoots in looking for a takedown. Yakubiskaya tries to sprawl out of it but Conner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yakubiskaya manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Conner tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Yakubiskaya swivels and escapes.
Yakubiskaya throws a body punch but Conner moves out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Yakubiskaya 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Conner's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Yakubiskaya breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Conner gets caught napping as Yakubiskaya dives in and scores a takedown. Conner manages to retain guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kenji Yakubiskaya was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Yakubiskaya darts in and clinches Conner up against the cage.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Yakubiskaya stands up and we're back to a striking position.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Yakubiskaya shoots in for a takedown but Conner shows good takedown defense.
Yakubiskaya closes the distance and clinches up with Conner, looking for a takedown. Yakubiskaya pushes Conner against the cage but Conner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Conner tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Yakubiskaya smiles and moves away.

Yakubiskaya closes the distance and clinches up with Conner, looking for a takedown. Yakubiskaya pushes Conner against the cage but Conner circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Conner reaches up to try and control the position but Yakubiskaya seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Conner rolls and tries to escape and now Yakubiskaya has his back!
Yakubiskaya slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Yakubiskaya really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Conner.

Yakubiskaya is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Conner has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Yakubiskaya has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Conner taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Yakubiskaya doesn't care though - he's delighted!
