Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Namig Osmanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Douglas Silva has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Douglas Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Namig Osmanov!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva forces Osmanov back against the cage and clinches.
Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Osmanov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Osmanov fails with a takedown attempt.
Silva looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Osmanov is fending him off so far but Silva persists. Nope, Osmanov circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Osmanov with that takedown attempt.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Osmanov pushes him off.

and Silva counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Douglas Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Namig Osmanov.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Silva pulls guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Osmanov wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.

Osmanov has gone for a leg lock! Silva slips out almost immediately though and dives into Osmanov's guard.

Osmanov looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Osmanov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Osmanov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard.
Osmanov missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Osmanov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Silva is breathing heavily.

Osmanov drops back looking for a leg! Silva is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Silva manages to kick Osmanov off! Osmanov jumps back into Silva's guard.
Osmanov wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.

Osmanov postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Silva is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Osmanov, into his guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Osmanov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Osmanov is tightening it up a little... Silva has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Silva reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Silva taps out! Nice BJJ there by Osmanov!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Namig Osmanov!
Namig Osmanov took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
