Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andre Luis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan De Pury (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luis comes to the cage accompanied by Ja posso suportar!. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Luis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan De Pury! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! De Pury darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Luis looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. De Pury controlling the action here. De Pury works his way into full mount! De Pury controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, De Pury cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. De Pury controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. De Pury with shots to the head and body - Luis looks very uncomfortable down there. Luis is bucking up trying to escape but De Pury cracks him with another couple of good strikes. De Pury sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Luis might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. De Pury lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Luis hang on? De Pury takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. De Pury is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! De Pury fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Luis to the ground. De Pury is now in Luis's guard. Luis being controlled here, momentarily. De Pury must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ryan De Pury was stalling too much, according to the referee. Luis misses with a head kick.
De Pury throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. De Pury throws a series of punches but Luis moves out of range. De Pury shoots in for a takedown and gets it. De Pury is taking a breather. Luis says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ryan De Pury. De Pury has closed the distance and engaged Luis in a clinch.
De Pury gets control of Luis's arms and successfully pulls guard. De Pury will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. De Pury is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. De Pury performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Luis really is a fat lump. De Pury works his way into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. De Pury controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! De Pury landing shots from mount. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! De Pury putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan De Pury dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
De Pury drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. De Pury is working to tighten is grip on Luis's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Luis has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but De Pury is really squeezing tight and eventually Luis passes out! De Pury breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Ryan De Pury!
