Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phuky Oto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Steele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steele comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Shame on a Nigga kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Phuky Oto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Steele!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Reed Andrews and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Oto.

Oto closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Steele keeping his opponent close.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Steele can do anything to dispel that myth.
Oto lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Steele down.
Steele managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Oto.
Oto creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Steele tries to buck Oto off but Oto is having none of it.
Steele has one of Oto's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Steele regains half guard, as Oto was trying to land strikes.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Steele makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Oto gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Steele stands up from Oto's guard - Steele perhaps looking for a knockout.

Steele manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Oto on his heels. He'll look to pass Oto's guard now, I'm sure.

Oto really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Steele prevents Oto from getting back to his feet.
Steele is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Max Steele was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Oto gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Steele to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Max Steele has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Oto throws a combination that misses

and Steele holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Oto connects with a knee to the head.
Steele drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Oto gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Oto is trying to break the clinch but Steele has him pressed against the cage.
Steele is looking for a takedown.

Oto is fighting off a takedown attempt but Steele is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Oto to the mat. Oto regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Oto fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Oto gets caught flat footed, as Steele shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Steele stops Oto from standing up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Oto keeping full guard, as Steele tries to pass.
Steele slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Steele's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Max Steele.

Oto closes the distance and clinches.
Steele is working for takedown but Oto is calmly controlling the position for now.
Steele drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Oto gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Oto tries to break free but Steele pushes him back against the cage.

Oto breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Steele drives through with a takedown into guard.
Steele is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Steele is standing up over Oto. Oto looks to escape but Steele dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Steele controlling the position from side mount.
Oto wants to get back to his feet but Steele drags him back down.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Steele slows the pace down.
Steele is working Oto over with some ground and pound from side control.
Steele is staying tight to Oto's torso, preventing him from escaping.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Max Steele was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Oto gets a clinch.
Steele drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Oto gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Phuky Oto has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Max Steele.

Oto pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Oto scoring well with a low kick there.

Steele clinches up with Oto and pushes him back against the cage.

Steele works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steele seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Steele won't allow Oto to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Steele passes Oto's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max Steele showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Oto's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Oto clinches.
Steele has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Oto is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Steele changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Oto fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Oto throws a combination. Steele tries to block but a couple of punches get through.


It looks like Max Steele has been cut.
Oto swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Steele is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Oto's half guard.

Steele decides to return to a standing position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Steele is nestled in close to Oto, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Steele seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Max Steele.

Steele gets the takedown into side control.

Steele takes a little break here. Oto wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Steele moves into full mount!
Oto tries to hold on but Steele postures up.

Steele fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Phuky Oto has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Max Steele is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Max Steele comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
