Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sampsa Siloposki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johan Apanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 26 - 14 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sampsa Siloposki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Johan Apanson!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Siloposki checks a leg kick.

Siloposki gets caught napping as Apanson dives in and scores a takedown. Siloposki manages to retain guard.
Siloposki is pulling down on Apanson's head. It's preventing any offense from Apanson, at least for the moment.
Apanson wants to control from the top but Siloposki keeps moving.
Apanson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Siloposki is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Apanson defends well.

Apanson postures up in Siloposki's guard and throws a big left but Siloposki blocks it.

Apanson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Apanson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Siloposki swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Apanson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Siloposki holds on and takes a little breather.
Apanson wants to pass the guard but Siloposki is keeping the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Apanson throws a one two combo.


It looks like Sampsa Siloposki has been cut.
Siloposki moves to clinch but Apanson breaks away
and Apanson counters with a nice uppercut.
Apanson thows a body shot but no joy.
Apanson tries to land a leg kick but Siloposki saw it coming and moves away.
Siloposki has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Apanson.
Siloposki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Siloposki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Siloposki ducks under a wild hook from Apanson.
Siloposki buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Apanson is looking to slow Siloposki down with leg kicks.

Apanson throws a leg kick which misses Siloposki's front leg but catches the back leg as Siloposki tries to avoid it.
Siloposki misses with a double jab
and Apanson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Siloposki connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Siloposki fails with an attempt to clinch.
Apanson wants to land a leg kick but Siloposki is out of range.
Apanson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Siloposki.
Siloposki looks to land a left hand but Apanson moved out of range nicely.
Siloposki slips under a jab from Apanson.
Apanson tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Apanson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Siloposki takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Apanson checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
A chopping leg kick lands by Apanson.
Apanson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Siloposki.
Siloposki throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Horrible takedown by Siloposki or perhaps it was just good defense by Apanson which made him look bad.
Siloposki scores with the left hand. Apanson knows he should have avoided that one.
A slow jab from Siloposki misses its intended target.
Siloposki wants to clinch but Apanson slips to the side
and Apanson counters with a stiff right hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Apanson looks to land a left hand but Siloposki moved out of range nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Siloposki misses with a series of wild punches.

Siloposki scores a takedown into full mount!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johan Apanson dominated that round.

Apanson takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Apanson cracks Siloposki with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Apanson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Siloposki.
Apanson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Siloposki.
Apanson throws a hook but Siloposki avoids it easily.
Siloposki keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Siloposki tries a head kick but it misses.
Siloposki is looking to score with low kicks.
Siloposki throws a nice outside leg kick.
Siloposki throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Apanson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Siloposki misses with a double jab.
Siloposki tries for a takedown but Apanson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Apanson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Siloposki!
Siloposki avoids a series of strikes thrown by Apanson.
Apanson lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Siloposki takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Apanson is landing with some decent strikes but Siloposki is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Sampsa Siloposki's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
