Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cowboy Henry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kanrosch Timoshenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cowboy Henry! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kanrosch Timoshenko! The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Timoshenko lands an overhand right. Timoshenko throws a body punch but Henry moves out of range. Timoshenko throws a series of punches but Henry avoids them all with ease. Henry cracks Timoshenko with a good jab. Henry throws out a loose jab but Timoshenko uses good head movement to avoid it. Henry lunges at Timoshenko with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Timoshenko's hand. Henry misses the shot to the body. Henry pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Henry looks to land a combination but Timoshenko avoids it well. Henry misses with a takedown attempt - Timoshenko sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Henry checks a low kick from Timoshenko. Henry swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab from Henry. Henry lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Timoshenko circles away quickly and effectively. Henry slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Timoshenko misses with a straight left. Henry waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Timoshenko. Henry jabbing away but nothing is landing. Timoshenko misses the shot to the body. Henry throws a jab when Timoshenko was well out of range. Timoshenko lands a nice looking body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Henry scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Henry with a lazy takedown attempt and Timoshenko counters with an outside leg kick.
Henry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cowboy Henry. That's going to take a lot out of him. Henry throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A big left from Timoshenko misses. Timoshenko ducks under a wild hook from Henry. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Henry punishes Timoshenko's body with a nice straight punch. Timoshenko throws a body punch but Henry moves out of range. Henry throws a series of punches but Timoshenko avoids them all with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Timoshenko throws out a leg kick but Henry moves out of range and Timoshenko only half commits. Henry lands with a right hand. Timoshenko tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Henry closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Timoshenko's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Henry passes Timoshenko's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Henry missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Timoshenko wants to sweep here but Henry controlling him for the moment. Henry throws an elbow that misses. Timoshenko uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Henry's guard. Nice move by Timoshenko! Timoshenko pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Henry is keeping the position for now. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Henry wants to sweep but no luck. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Henry trying to control the position but Timoshenko is working away. Henry throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Timoshenko manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Timoshenko is trying to control but can't.
Timoshenko makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Henry doesn't succeed with the takedown and Timoshenko counters with a stiff right hand. Henry misses with a looping left. Timoshenko misses with a shot to the body and Henry counters with a straight right hand. Henry fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Timoshenko on the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Henry shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Timoshenko sprawls well. Timoshenko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Henry gets slowly back to his feet. Henry darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Timoshenko looks to land a right hand but Henry moved out of range. Timoshenko needs to keep his hands up - Henry had a free shot at his head there. Kanrosch Timoshenko is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Henry cracks Timoshenko with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Henry dives in and scores a takedown into Timoshenko's guard. Timoshenko avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Timoshenko is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Henry is controlling him. Timoshenko controlling Henry's posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Henry wants to control from the top but Timoshenko keeps moving. Timoshenko wants to stand but Henry is controlling the position. Timoshenko is trying to keep Henry in close.
Cowboy Henry overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Timoshenko seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Timoshenko does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Timoshenko keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Henry. Henry shoots in looking for a takedown but Timoshenko manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Henry's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cowboy Henry. That's going to take a lot out of him. Henry scores with a one two! Timoshenko had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Timoshenko uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Henry.

Henry is looking to take a break and control but Timoshenko is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Henry is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Timoshenko is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cowboy Henry. Well Henry has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
