Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Possu Jokinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Hiramatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Possu Jokinen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Patrick Hiramatsu! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jokinen scores with a sloppy right hand. Hiramatsu should have avoided that one. Jokinen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Hiramatsu wants to improve his position but Jokinen is controlling well.
Jokinen is looking to take a break and control but Hiramatsu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Still in half guard, Jokinen seems content to control. Hiramatsu is trying to maintain the position but Jokinen is very close to passing his half guard. Jokinen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Jokinen wants to take a breather but Hiramatsu is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jokinen throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Hiramatsu to regain full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hiramatsu is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hiramatsu working a defensive guard here.
Hiramatsu utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hiramatsu working for a triangle but Jokinen defends it easily.
Jokinen passes into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jokinen is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Jokinen stops Hiramatsu from getting back to his feet.
Jokinen content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Hiramatsu is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Jokinen is working for a submission of some sort.
Jokinen passes the guard and advances to mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jokinen looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Jokinen jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Hiramatsu manages to avoid the submission attempt. Hiramatsu is trying to escape the position but Jokinen is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jokinen cracks Hiramatsu with a big elbow. Jokinen tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jokinen has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jokinen content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Hiramatsu manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jokinen looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Possu Jokinen dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hiramatsu tries to score with a low kick but Jokinen moves his leg out of the way. Jokinen connects with a nice looking jab.
Hiramatsu slips under a jab. Jokinen throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hiramatsu tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jokinen is in Hiramatsu's guard. Hiramatsu working for a triangle but Jokinen defends it easily.
Jokinen trying to control but Hiramatsu is working from the bottom. Jokinen working some strikes from top position. Jokinen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hiramatsu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jokinen advances to half guard. Jokinen wants to control but Hiramatsu is keeping him busy. Hiramatsu wants to get back to full guard. Jokinen wants to work for an arm triangle but Hiramatsu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hiramatsu wants to control but Jokinen is keeping busy.
Jokinen seems to be looking for submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jokinen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hiramatsu does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Jokinen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Jokinen is trying to work for a kimura but Hiramatsu is defending well.
Jokinen is stalling here. Hiramatsu is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Jokinen seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hiramatsu has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Jokinen has one of Hiramatsu's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hiramatsu has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Jokinen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jokinen is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Jokinen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Jokinen looking for a guillotine from mount but Hiramatsu is having none of it. Jokinen controlling from the full mount. Jokinen trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hiramatsu holds on to Jokinen as tight as he can, avoiding damage. Jokinen lands a big shot there that rocks Hiramatsu but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jokinen forces the positional change into back control. Jokinen is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Hiramatsu is defending well though. Jokinen let's go of the attempt for now. Jokinen is persistently looking for the submission but Hiramatsu is defending it well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jokinen is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Possu Jokinen dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Hiramatsu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Hiramatsu keeping full guard, as Jokinen tries to pass. Jokinen seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Jokinen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Hiramatsu for as long as he can get away with. Jokinen passes into half guard.

Jokinen is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jokinen passes to full mount! Hiramatsu defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Jokinen. Jokinen is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hiramatsu has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hiramatsu! Hiramatsu working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Jokinen trying to control the position here. Jokinen is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hiramatsu has his hands clasped together but Jokinen extends an breaks Hiramatsu's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Jokinen.
