Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Barnet (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Water Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Josh Barnet could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Bobby Water Boy's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Josh Barnet! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bobby Water Boy! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Water Boy tries to clinch but fails miserably and Barnet counters with a nice double leg into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Barnet tries to free his leg and advance position but Water Boy is retaining full guard. Barnet is working hard here to advance position. Barnet slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Barnet slips nicely into half guard. Barnet is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Water Boy defends it well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnet sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Water Boy defending well though. Water Boy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Barnet. Barnet throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Barnet is looking to take a break and control but Water Boy is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Barnet has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Barnet throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Water Boy because Barnet loaded up on that one. Water Boy tries to buck Barnet off but he can't manage it. Barnet looking to control and managing it successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnet looking to control but Water Boy is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnet jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Water Boy is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Water Boy and Barnet has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Water Boy is not content to let Barnet control the position. Barnet is staying tight to Water Boy's torso, preventing him from escaping. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Barnet dominated that round. That's time! Barnet's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Water Boy wants to clinch. Water Boy leaves Barnet with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Water Boy keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bobby Water Boy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Water Boy tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Barnet counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Barnet looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Water Boy avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Barnet. Barnet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Water Boy keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnet stands up from half guard. Water Boy darts in trying to clinch and Barnet counters with a shoot takedown. Water Boy fights it but they end up in guard. Barnet pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Water Boy is keeping the position for now. Barnet is pushing down on Water Boy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Water Boy is fighting to maintain full guard but Barnet has managed to sneak the leg through. Barnet controlling the action here. Josh Barnet overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Water Boy blocking the ground and pound attempt from Barnet. Water Boy is trying to stand up here but Barnet is controlling him well. Barnet is pressing down on Water Boy's thigh, looking to free his foot. Water Boy is holding on for now. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Barnet not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barnet is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Barnet stalling. Barnet tries to pass the half guard into mount. Water Boy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Still in half guard, Barnet seems content to control. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Josh Barnet has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Water Boy tries to clinch but Barnet moves away and Barnet counters with a single leg into guard. Water Boy didn't expect that.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnet slips nicely into half guard. Barnet tries to pass the half guard into mount. Water Boy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Barnet is working for a submission of some sort.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Barnet thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Josh Barnet dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Barnet circles away from the clinch attempt and Barnet counters with a shoot takedown. Water Boy fights it but they end up in guard. Barnet controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Water Boy working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Barnet. Barnet postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Barnet trying to control the position from guard on top but Water Boy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Barnet is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Water Boy can do to turn this around? Water Boy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Barnet controls the pace.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Josh Barnet wasn't doing enough on the ground. Water Boy darts in trying to clinch and Barnet counters with a takedown into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barnet tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Barnet is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Water Boy's shoulder. That is not cool. Barnet tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Barnet has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Water Boy is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Barnet wants to lay and pray for a moment but Water Boy keeps working. Barnet works to advance to full mount. Water Boy defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Water Boy blocking the ground and pound. Barnet lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Barnet working for a submission but Water Boy is keeping him at bay. Barnet wants to control the pace but Water Boy is squirming around nicely. Water Boy really wants to buck Barnet off and get back to his feet. Water Boy takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barnet moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Water Boy has worked his arm free - good work by Water Boy!
Barnet is trying to ground and pound but Water Boy uses the momentary lack of control by Barnet to regain half guard. Barnet looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that's the end of the fight! Josh Barnet showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Barnet, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
