Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marek Kimaljdi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimaljdi kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Changes. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Wagner Zegers and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kimaljdi throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Shields closes the distance and clinches up with Kimaljdi, looking for a takedown. Shields pushes Kimaljdi against the cage but Kimaljdi circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Shields fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kimaljdi has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Shields throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kimaljdi's waist but Kimaljdi gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Shields off to one side.
Marek Kimaljdi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Shields.
Horrible takedown by Shields or perhaps it was just good defense by Kimaljdi which made him look bad.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Shields accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Kimaljdi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kimaljdi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Shields sees it coming and avoids it easily.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kimaljdi crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shields - the referee stops the clock and Kimaljdi gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shields. Kimaljdi manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Kimaljdi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Shields shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shields looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kimaljdi with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
And that's the end of the fight!
David Shields comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Shields has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
