Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Breit enables Alves to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Breit manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Breit is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alves defends well.
Breit might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Alves got a little sloppy there for a moment and Breit has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alves has managed to get both his arms back between Breit's legs - danger averted.

Breit isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Alves stacks Breit on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Alves!
Alves thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Breit tries to buck Alves off but Alves is having none of it.
