Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Adolf Breit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adolf Breit has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adolf Breit! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anderson Alves! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A momentary lapse in concentration from Breit enables Alves to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Breit manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Breit is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Alves defends well. Breit might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Alves trying to control but Breit is working from the bottom. Alves stands up and waves to Breit to follow him. Alves shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Breit as he jumps to the side. Alves looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Breit is breathing heavily. Alves throws a big right hand that misses. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Alves got a little sloppy there for a moment and Breit has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Alves has managed to get both his arms back between Breit's legs - danger averted. Alves decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Breit stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Breit wants it to stay on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Breit pinned against the cage. Breit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Adolf Breit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Alves. Alves goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Breit fails with a takedown attempt. Alves looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Breit is fending him off so far but Alves persists. Nope, Breit circles away and we're back to standing. Alves with a poor takedown and Breit decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Alves's guard. Alves wants to sweep here but Breit controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Breit sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Alves's guard. Breit looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alves is trying is best to control the position here. Breit is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alves doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Breit. Alves keeping control of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alves trying to control from the bottom.
Breit is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Alves makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Alves. Alves manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Alves looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Breit tries to get back to half guard but can't. Alves breaks from Breit's wrist control and lands an elbow. Breit is working to get back to half guard.
Breit is working hard here to advance position. Alves trying to control but he's not successful this time. Breit is trying desperately to improve position. Alves trying to control but Breit is having none of it. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Breit defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Alves. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Alves scores with a couple of good head shots there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

No luck for Alves with that takedown attempt. Alves has his takedown stuffed and Breit counters with a shoot takedown. Alves fights it but they end up in guard. Breit slips nicely into half guard. Breit is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Alves defends it well. Alves has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Breit is working away from the top position though. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Alves moves into full guard.
Breit drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Alves dives on top into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Alves trying to control the position from guard on top but Breit is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Alves stands up from Breit's guard - Alves perhaps looking for a knockout. Alves looks for a takedown but Breit sprawls well. Adolf Breit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anderson Alves. Alves scores a takedown into full mount! Breit is working to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Alves has control of Breit's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Breit regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Breit sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Breit slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Alves throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Breit looking for subs off his back but Alves has passed one foot through into half guard.
Breit is not content to let Alves control the position. Breit is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Alves moves nicely into side control. Alves tries to advance to mount but Breit denies him. Alves is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Breit has escaped the position, nice work there. Breit tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Alves wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Breit wants to get back to his feet but Alves is dominant here and he's now got Breit's back! Breit is keeping busy.
Breit tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Alves is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Breit to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Breit shrugs it off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Alves looking to control but Breit is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Breit is looking to get to half guard. Breit is squirming around, avoiding Alves's attempts to control the action. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Breit is trying desperately to improve position. Alves is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Alves is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Breit can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Alves showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Breit is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Alves as he works his way to full guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Breit tries to pass the half guard into mount. Alves knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Breit postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Alves is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Breit, into his guard. Breit has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Alves can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Anderson Alves is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Breit isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Alves stacks Breit on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Alves! Alves thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Breit tries to buck Alves off but Alves is having none of it. Breit looks to move to half guard but instead Alves has passed into mount! Damn! Breit can't escape the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Alves controlling from mount. Alves looking to control but Breit is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
And that's the end of the fight! Adolf Breit showed his dominance in that final round. Well Alves has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
