Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ian McPherson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Partridge!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Partridge uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McPherson has time to react.


It looks like Ian McPherson has been cut.
Good exchange - McPherson coming out on top.
An inside leg kick from Partridge misses.
Partridge lands a jab to McPherson's midsection.
Partridge throws a solid leg kick but McPherson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Partridge.

Partridge has managed to clinch.
McPherson throws a punch but it's blocked by Partridge.
Partridge misses with the head strike.
Partridge tries a body shot but McPherson blocks it.
McPherson throws a head punch that misses.
Partridge is leaning against McPherson and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McPherson lands with a right to the head.
Partridge goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Partridge makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
McPherson misses with a hook from the clinch.
A short body shot lands from Partridge as the two fighters clinch.
Partridge struggles to land a body shot inside as McPherson controls his hands.
Partridge lands a hook to the side of the head.

McPherson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
McPherson gets to mount! Partridge was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Partridge is looking to get to half guard.
McPherson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Partridge because McPherson loaded up on that one.
McPherson dominating with strikes here.
McPherson looking to control but Partridge is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Partridge is working to get back to half guard.
McPherson is landing with some decent strikes but Partridge is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Partridge sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Partridge trying to control from the bottom.
McPherson prevents Partridge from improving his position.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Partridge has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McPherson is working away from the top position though.
Partridge wants to get back to full guard.
McPherson is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Partridge wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and McPherson is now in half guard.

Partridge is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McPherson pulls his head out easily.

Partridge wants to improve his position but McPherson is controlling well.
Partridge avoiding damage under a succession of punches from McPherson.
McPherson is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Partridge reverses the position - he's now on top in McPherson's guard.
McPherson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
McPherson is working hard here to advance position.
Partridge wanted to stand there but McPherson had control of the position.
Partridge won't allow McPherson to sweep him here.

Partridge avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Partridge trying to stand up but can't free himself from McPherson's guard.
McPherson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

McPherson is working an open guard so Partridge takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Partridge lands with a thumping leg kick.
McPherson throws a shot from downtown. Partridge moves away and avoids it.
McPherson takes a jab right on the kisser.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Partridge misses the body punch
and McPherson counters with a stiff right hand.
Partridge jabs McPherson right on the nose. McPherson blinks but takes it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Steve Partridge dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ian McPherson's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


A looping hook to the body misses from Partridge. McPherson does a little dance to reset his feet.
A solid leg kick lands there for Partridge.
Nice body punch from Partridge.
A big left from McPherson misses.
Partridge with a nice cross.
McPherson pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Partridge moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Partridge avoids the body shot from McPherson.
Partridge attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Partridge needs to keep his hands up - McPherson had a free shot at his head there.
Partridge connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.


McPherson is rocked!
McPherson leaves his chin hanging out and Partridge seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! McPherson crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
