Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elix Skipper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Blunt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blunt has chosen Danzig - Mother as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bob Blunt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skipper throws a body punch but Blunt moves out of range.
Blunt pushes Skipper away with a front kick.

Blunt closes the distance and clinches.
Skipper content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Blunt misses with a knee to the head.
Blunt looking to throw knees to the head but Skipper is blocking nicely.
Skipper trying to control the position but instead, Blunt has worked for underhooks and has pushed Skipper into the ropes.
Blunt tries to land a knee to the head but Skipper blocks with his arms.
Blunt with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Skipper gets control of Blunt's arms and successfully pulls guard. Skipper will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Skipper looking for a sweep. Not yet Skipper, not yet.
Skipper working a defensive guard here.

Skipper has an active guard here but Blunt has managed to pass into half guard.

Blunt is working for a kimura but Skipper is defending it quite comfortably.

Blunt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Skipper does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Skipper gets back to full guard.

Skipper has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blunt can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Skipper wants to control but Blunt passes easily into half guard.

Blunt moves nicely into side control.
Skipper gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Skipper won't allow Blunt to pass to mount.
Blunt is trying to control the action in half guard but Skipper is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Blunt is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Skipper looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Blunt works his way into side control.
Skipper regains half guard.
Blunt frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Blunt trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Skipper prevents Blunt from taking his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Skipper wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bob Blunt dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Skipper throws a looping overhand right but Blunt ducks down to avoid it.
Blunt scores with a decent looking hook.
Blunt connects with a high kick.


It looks like Elix Skipper has been cut.
A nice inside leg kick there by Blunt. That's going to slow Skipper down.

Blunt clinches up against the ropes.
Blunt looking to throw knees to the head but Skipper is blocking nicely.

Skipper is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes.

Blunt throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Skipper tries a body shot but Blunt blocks it.
Blunt tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Blunt using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Skipper has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Blunt throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Skipper blocks it with crossed arms.
Skipper tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Blunt just stands there and leans against the ropes.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Skipper is looking to sinch up a triangle. Blunt throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Skipper's body to avoid the submission. Skipper has instead reached around Blunt's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Skipper arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Elix Skipper!
Our winner, Elix Skipper, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
