Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bobby Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ted Knot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ted Knot is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bobby Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ted Knot!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown wants to clinch up but Knot keeps it at a distance.

Knot trying to keep a closed guard but Brown is proving a slippery customer.

Knot wants to get back to his feet but Brown is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Brown feints and as Knot raises his hands in defense, Brown changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Brown connects with a knee to the head.

and Knot counters with a leg kick.

Brown rushes Knot and presses him up against the cage.

Brown decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Knot counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

Brown keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Knot pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Knot misses with a jab, cross combination.

Knot closes the distance and clinches.
Brown prevents the takedown attempt.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Knot wants to get back to striking at distance but Brown won't allow it.
Knot gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Brown.

Brown closes the distance and clinches up with Knot, looking for a takedown. Brown pushes Knot against the cage but Knot circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Knot rushes Brown and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Knot avoids the elbow strike from Brown, against the cage.
Knot misses with a hook to the ribs.
A right handed body shot lands from Brown.
Brown lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Knot jumps guard but Brown stands there with Knot around his waist. Knot gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Brown throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Knots head.

Brown has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Knot uses from the top position.

Nice takedown defense from Brown. No joy for Knot on that attempt.

Horrible takedown by Brown or perhaps it was just good defense by Knot which made him look bad.

Brown seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Knot for as long as he can get away with.
Brown's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Knot stands and steps away. Brown gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Knot feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brown, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
