Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Leis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leis has chosen No Sleep - Wiz Khalifa as his entrance music. Jesse Leis is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marcus Quick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jesse Leis! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Leis shoots in for a takedown but Quick shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Quick fails in his attempt to clinch. Quick just misses with a punch to the body.
Leis fails to land the takedown. Quick lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Leis backs up against the cage.
Leis shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Quick napping and manages to drive through into side control! We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Leis looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Quick is avoiding damage well.
Leis cracks Quick with an elbow. That is naaassty. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Leis working the strikes but Quick uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Leis is thwarting Quick's attempts to control the position. Quick won't allow Leis to pass to mount. Leis is looking for a kimura here.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Leis sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Quick defending well though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leis prevents Quick from improving his position. Leis thows a huge punch but Quick dodges it nicely.
Leis throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Leis is trying to control the action in half guard but Quick is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Leis not landing any meaningful shots this time. Leis trying to pass the guard but Quick defending well. Quick wants to control but Leis is keeping busy and won't allow it. Leis seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Quick manages to get to full guard.
Leis won't allow Quick to get back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quick looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leis is one step ahead there. Leis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Leis looking to pass the guard. Leis throws a big right hand that misses. Quick avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Quick is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Quick tries to pass to full mount but Leis defends it. Leis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leis moves into full guard.
Leis is looking to sweep but instead, Quick has passed into half guard.
Quick with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Quick prevents Leis from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quick is thwarting Leis's attempts to control the position. Leis is looking for a sweep. Quick is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Leis is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Leis regains full guard. Nicely done. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Quick wants to pass the guard but Leis is keeping the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesse Leis dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Quick wants to clinch up but Leis keeps it at a distance. Quick misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Leis.
Leis shoots in but no luck this time. Leis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Quick sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Leis somewhat. Quick scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Leis doesn't seem bothered though. Quick catches Leis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Quick connects with a single shot there. Leis shoots in and bounces Quick off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Quick pulls Leis in close to prevent any damage. Quick wants to get back to his feet but Leis is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Quick is on top in guard.
Leis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quick can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Quick looking to pass the guard. Leis keeping moving, preventing Quick from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leis wants to control but Quick passes easily into half guard.
Leis moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Quick avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Leis not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Leis looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Quick passes into half guard.
Leis is looking to get back to full guard here but Quick has managed to pass to side control instead. Quick working the head and body with strikes. Jesse Leis has got the better of the ground game so far. Quick trying to control the position but Leis is working away. You can see the frustration on Leis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Quick wants to lay and pray for a moment but Leis keeps working. You can see the frustration on Leis's face as Quick controls the position. Leis is looking to reverse the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Quick advances to full mount. Leis tries to hold on but Quick pushes him away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Quick dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
Quick stuffs the takedown. Quick misses with a hook. Leis ducked under it nicely. A punch combination from Quick misses. Quick closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Leis to the mat! Leis manages to get full guard. Quick postures up.
Leis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Quick's corner is telling him to maintain position. Quick looking to sit in guard and control but Leis gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Leis throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Leis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Leis stops Quick from standing up. Leis tries to free his leg and advance position but Quick is retaining full guard. Leis throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Quick works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Leis trying to control but Quick is working from the bottom. Quick is pulling down on Leis's head. It's preventing any offense from Leis, at least for the moment. Leis landing with the ground and pound. Quick is trying to control the position but Leis postures up. Leis wants to control from the top but Quick keeps moving. Leis postures up in Quick's guard and throws a big left but Quick blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Leis with a flurry of punches that miss. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Leis makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Leis working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Quick has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Leis preventing the sweep. Quick wants to get back to his feet but Leis is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Leis trying to control but Quick is working from the bottom. Quick is trying to control the position but Leis postures up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Leis throws an elbow that misses. Quick uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Leis's guard. Nice move by Quick!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quick advances position into side control! Leis is not content to let Quick control the position. Leis is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Quick's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Quick tries to pass to full mount but Leis defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Leis avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Quick. Quick is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Leis bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Quick's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Leis trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Leis throwing strikes from guard but Quick blocks nicely. Leis trying to control but Quick is working from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jesse Leis. I think Leis has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
