Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Simon Fenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Irons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Simon Fenix! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Stan Irons! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Irons looks to land a body kick but Fenix moved away. Fenix throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Irons's waist but Irons gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fenix off to one side. Irons throws a sloppy head kick and Fenix moves out of range easily. Fenix pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fenix bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Irons manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Fenix prevents Irons from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fenix is working for a kimura but Irons is defending it quite comfortably.
Fenix perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Irons is trying to stand back up but Fenix is controlling him
Fenix has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Irons looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Fenix sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Irons keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Fenix lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Irons hang on? Fenix controlling from the full mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Irons is looking to improve his position but Fenix isn't that keen on the idea. Irons is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Fenix gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Fenix darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fenix throwing shots but Irons is blocking nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fenix controlling the action here. Irons trying to control but Fenix postures up.
Irons desperately trying to maintain half guard. Fenix is trying to control the action in half guard but Irons is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Irons wants to control but Fenix is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fenix uses his free foot to push down on Irons's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Irons. Fenix tries to control but Irons wriggling away. Fenix is really struggling to control Irons but he's trying to hold on to the position. Fenix avoids the attempt from Irons to control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Irons is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Fenix dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Irons throws a head kick that misses and Fenix decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Irons's guard. Irons bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fenix's guard. Fenix is controlling Irons's posture. Irons preventing the sweep. Irons tries to free his leg and advance position but Fenix is retaining full guard. Irons controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Fenix tries to land a sweep but no joy. Irons trying to control but Fenix is working from the bottom. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fenix has control of Irons's left arm, preventing Irons from doing any damage. Irons trying to control but Fenix is working from the bottom.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Irons shoots in but Fenix avoids the takedown attempt easily. Irons doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fenix counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Irons! Irons's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fenix content just to control the position here. Fenix avoids the attempt from Irons to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Irons slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Fenix looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Fenix sitting and controlling from the half guard. Fenix seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Irons for as long as he can get away with. Fenix is tying to control. Irons wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fenix looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Irons with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Irons trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Fenix manages to pass to mount!
Fenix lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Fenix trying to control but Irons is having none of it. Fenix controlling his opponent. Simon Fenix overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Simon Fenix just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Fenix works over Irons's head and body with a nice combination. Irons throws a sloppy head kick and Fenix moves out of range easily. Fenix has managed to clinch.
Irons misses with some punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Simon Fenix dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Irons takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fenix tries to clinch but Irons moves out of range. Irons moves into range and clinches up with Fenix. Irons pulls guard successfully.
Fenix forces his way into half guard. Fenix controlling the action here. Fenix is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fenix controlling the pace. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fenix prevents Irons from improving his position. Fenix is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Irons is just riding it out for now. Fenix eventually gives up the hold. Irons tries to kick Fenix off in order to stand up. Fenix Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The referee asks Fenix politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Fenix prefers to stall for the moment though. Irons manages to work his way to half guard, despite Fenix's best efforts. Irons wants to control but Fenix is keeping busy and won't allow it. Irons is controlling Fenix's trapped leg to prevent Fenix from advancing to side control. Fenix is tying to control. Irons wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Irons keeping control of the position. Fenix trying to control the pace.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fenix has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Irons trying to hold on to Fenix's head to control him but Fenix postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Fenix is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Fenix throws a right hand that Irons ducks under and follows up with a left that Irons also avoids with ease. Fenix looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Fenix thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Fenix content to stall in guard here.
And that's the end of the fight! Simon Fenix showed his dominance in that final round. Well Fenix has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
