Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Zeus Mesus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Endo Hattori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Endo Hattori will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Zeus Mesus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Endo Hattori!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hattori misses with a takedown attempt

and Mesus counters with a single leg into guard. Hattori didn't expect that.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Hattori can't keep his opponent in guard - Mesus advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Hattori trying to control from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hattori might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Mesus kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Hattori is trying is best to control the position here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Endo Hattori hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Hattori shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Mesus counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Mesus is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hattori knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Mesus goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Hattori rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Mesus's guard! Nice work there by Hattori!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

and Mesus counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hattori won't be happy with that.

Mesus is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hattori is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Mesus swings around for an armbar but Hattori sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Mesus's guard.
Mesus has a closed guard, preventing Hattori from standing up.
Hattori trying to control the position from guard on top but Mesus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Hattori accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hattori trying to control but Mesus is working from the bottom.
Hattori must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Endo Hattori.

Mesus drives through with a takedown into Hattori's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Hattori bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mesus's guard.

Mesus had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hattori defends it easily.

Mesus is looking for a triangle but Hattori pushes his legs off easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hattori postures up in Mesus's guard and throws a big left but Mesus blocks it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Hattori pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mesus is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Endo Hattori will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Mesus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hattori gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hattori postures up in Mesus's guard and throws a big left but Mesus blocks it.

Hattori avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Mesus looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hattori is looking to work some ground and pound but Mesus has wrist control.
Mesus manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Hattori wants to hold on but Mesus pushes him away.

Mesus jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hattori is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hattori and Mesus has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Mesus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hattori can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Hattori wants to stand but Mesus is controlling his posture from full guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Zeus Mesus showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Mesus has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
