Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Filipovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and TK Roscoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mirko Filipovic! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, TK Roscoe! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Filipovic fails in his attempt to clinch. Filipovic darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Roscoe makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Filipovic tries to close the distance and clinch but Roscoe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The fight stays on the outside here - Roscoe looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Filipovic fails with a takedown attempt. Filipovic scores with a one two! Roscoe had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Roscoe defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Filipovic. Roscoe fails with the takedown and Filipovic counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Filipovic.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roscoe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Filipovic's guard. Filipovic not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Filipovic is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Roscoe lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Filipovic has Roscoe pulled in close to control his posture. Roscoe lands a couple of elbows. Roscoe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Filipovic's guard. Roscoe sitting and controlling from the half guard. Roscoe thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Roscoe is working for a kimura but Filipovic is defending it quite comfortably.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Roscoe seems to be looking for submissions.
Filipovic has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Roscoe is working away from the top position though. Filipovic avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Roscoe. Filipovic on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Filipovic tries to get out of the position. Roscoe controlling the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Filipovic is staying active underneath Roscoe, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Roscoe works his foot free and advances to mount. Roscoe controlling from mount.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Roscoe is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! No luck with that takedown attempt from Roscoe. Roscoe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roscoe bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Filipovic is being controlled here. Filipovic wants to control but Roscoe postures up. Roscoe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Filipovic keeps working. Roscoe stands up. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Filipovic moves to clinch but Roscoe breaks away and Roscoe counters with a stiff right hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Filipovic stalks Roscoe and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Roscoe's face. Roscoe staggers backwards, shaken. Filipovic tries to clinch there but Roscoe circles away.
The fight moves into the clinch position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
TK Roscoe dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Filipovic enables Roscoe to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Filipovic manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Roscoe trying to control the position from guard on top but Filipovic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Roscoe stands and throws Filipovic's legs to the side, diving into side control. Roscoe lands a nice forearm strike. Filipovic is trying to control Roscoe's posture but Roscoe avoids it. Filipovic is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roscoe taking a breather here. Roscoe is looking to take a break and control but Filipovic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. TK Roscoe has got the better of the ground game so far. A lull in the action here. Roscoe is working to tighten is grip on Filipovic's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Filipovic has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Roscoe is really squeezing tight and eventually Filipovic passes out! Roscoe breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
