Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Marv Gannicus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anders Vaughan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaughan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gannicus tries to avoid it but Vaughan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gannicus to the ground. Gannicus escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gannicus lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Gannicus misses with a two punch combination.
Gannicus tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A head kick misses from Gannicus.
Gannicus defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vaughan.
Gannicus throws a sloppy head kick and Vaughan moves out of range easily.
Vaughan has his takedown stuffed

and Gannicus counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gannicus.
Marv Gannicus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anders Vaughan.
Gannicus misses with an elbow strike.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Vaughan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gannicus just stands there and leans against the cage.

Gannicus pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Gannicus clinches with his opponent.
Vaughan jumps guard but Gannicus stands there with Vaughan around his waist. Vaughan gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gannicus just misses with a elbow thrown towards Vaughan's brow.
Gannicus using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Vaughan has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Gannicus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Vaughan shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gannicus but Gannicus pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Gannicus throws a head kick that misses.
Vaughan misses with a takedown attempt - Gannicus sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Gannicus clinches up with Vaughan and pushes him back against the cage.
Vaughan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gannicus walks away with a smile on his face. Vaughan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Gannicus has Vaughan up against the cage in a clinch.
Vaughan tries to pull guard but Gannicus holds him up against the cage and eventually Vaughan drops back down to his feet.
Vaughan fails to pull guard.
Vaughan looks gassed!

Gannicus breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Gannicus pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Gannicus lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Gannicus scores with a head kick. Vaughan tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vaughan takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Gannicus gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Gannicus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Gannicus throws a sloppy head kick and Vaughan moves out of range easily.

Vaughan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gannicus as he jumps to the side.

A combination from Gannicus does no damage.
Gannicus scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
