Satriani comes to the cage accompanied by Satch Boogie. Joe Satriani could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Damian Roshan's chin.

15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Joe Satriani! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Hilo, Damian Roshan! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Satriani misses with an attempted mid kick.
Satriani pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Satriani gets off balance looking for a body kick and Roshan counters by moving into the clinch. Roshan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Joe Satriani seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Satriani misses with a body kick. Satriani throws a head kick but Roshan moves out of range.
Satriani throws a head kick that misses and Roshan counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Roshan. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Satriani wants to stand up but Roshan is controlling him. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Satriani throws a lazy body kick and Roshan counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Roshan wants to work for an arm triangle but Satriani is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Roshan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Satriani defends it well. Satriani tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Roshan manages to move to mount!

Roshan is landing with some decent strikes but Satriani is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Ooooh, that looks tight… Satriani is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Satriani and Roshan has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Roshan wants to control but Satriani is keeping him busy. Roshan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Satriani has escaped the position, nice work there. Roshan postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roshan sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Satriani is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Roshan swings around for an armbar but Satriani sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Roshan's guard. Roshan seems keen to control Satriani's posture. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Satriani misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Roshan wants to clinch. Satriani throws a head kick that misses and Roshan decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Satriani's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Satriani utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Roshan throwing strikes from guard but Satriani blocks nicely. Roshan content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Satriani wants to stand but Roshan is controlling the position. Roshan looking to sit in guard and control but Satriani gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Roshan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Roshan has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

It looks like Damian Roshan has been cut. Satriani looks to land a body kick but Roshan moved away. Roshan lands a jab-cross combination. Satriani tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick by Satriani misses and Roshan counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Roshan. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Satriani with an attempt at a knee that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Satriani's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Satriani slaps away a takedown attempt from Roshan, before circling back to the center of the mat. Satriani avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Roshan works his foot free and advances to mount. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Satriani is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Roshan working the head with strikes. Satriani wants to get back to his feet. Roshan lands some shots froms side control. Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt. Roshan working the body and head with strikes. Roshan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Satriani sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Roshan swings around for an armbar but Satriani sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Roshan's guard. Roshan escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Satriani gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Roshan is trying to hold Satriani in close to prevent damage but Satriani has managed to pass into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Roshan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Satriani wants to stand but Roshan has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Joe Satriani has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Satriani stands up out of the half guard. Roshan is looking to take this fight into the clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A head kick by Satriani misses and Roshan counters with a good, hard body kick but Satriani shrugs it off. Roshan moves out of range of the strikes.
And that's the end of the fight! Damian Roshan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Roshan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
