Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between JR Summers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew McRaylen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Summers comes into the arena with Before I Forgot blaring out of the sound system. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, JR Summers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrew McRaylen!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from McRaylen.


It looks like JR Summers has been cut.
McRaylen comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

McRaylen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Summers, pushing him back against the cage.

McRaylen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
McRaylen paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Summers pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
McRaylen tries to clinch there but Summers circles away.
McRaylen thuds a left hand into Summers's body.
McRaylen looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Summers throws a right and a left that both miss.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Summers shoots in for a takedown but McRaylen shows good takedown defense.
Summers looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McRaylen is fending him off so far but Summers persists. Nope, McRaylen circles away and we're back to standing.

Summers throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. McRaylen tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Summers is in McRaylen's guard.
McRaylen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McRaylen can do anything to dispel that myth.
McRaylen wants to stand and escape but Summers is having none of it.

Summers got a little sloppy there for a moment and McRaylen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Summers has managed to get both his arms back between McRaylen's legs - danger averted.
Summers throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McRaylen works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Summers is looking to work some ground and pound but McRaylen has wrist control.
McRaylen wants to stand but Summers is controlling the position.
McRaylen looks gassed!

McRaylen is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Summers decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Summers takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

McRaylen is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Summers gets to his feet. McRaylen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

No luck with that takedown attempt from McRaylen.
McRaylen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Summers.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JR Summers. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Summers closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. McRaylen did well to prevent Summers getting side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Summers wants to take a breather but McRaylen is having none of it.

Summers perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
McRaylen is looking for a sweep. Summers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Summers scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Summers lands a nice short elbow.
Summers looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Summers looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks McRaylen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
McRaylen is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Summers scores with a couple of nice shots.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Summers slows the pace down in half guard.
McRaylen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Summers. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
McRaylen wants to get back to his feet.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Summers connects with a nice short shot to McRaylen's temple.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Summers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

JR Summers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McRaylen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Summers circles away.

Summers has McRaylen up against the cage in a clinch.

McRaylen breaks the clinch.
McRaylen lets loose with a powerful body kick. Summers will feel that in the morning.

Summers is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but McRaylen is keeping busy.
McRaylen gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Summers.
Summers has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. McRaylen avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Summers just misses with a elbow thrown towards McRaylen's brow.
McRaylen lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
McRaylen controlling the action here for a moment.
McRaylen is breathing heavily.

Summers throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
McRaylen digs a right hand underneath Summers's ribcage. Summers let out a lung full of air as it connected.
McRaylen tries to pull guard but Summers forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Summers has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but McRaylen regains guard immediately.
JR Summers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McRaylen not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McRaylen wants to stand and escape but Summers is having none of it.
Summers makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Summers drops back looking for a leg! McRaylen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McRaylen manages to kick Summers off! Summers jumps back into McRaylen's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Summers rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McRaylen moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Summers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
McRaylen is looking to clinch but Summers is avoiding it.

McRaylen tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Summers avoids it.
Summers has McRaylen pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McRaylen manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

McRaylen manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Summers on his heels. He'll look to pass Summers's guard now, I'm sure.

McRaylen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Summers swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Summers bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McRaylen's guard.
Summers seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

McRaylen is trying to hold Summers in close to prevent damage but Summers has managed to pass into half guard.
McRaylen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Summers is working away from the top position though.

Summers is taking a breather. McRaylen says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Summers wants to work for an arm triangle but McRaylen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Summers is nestled in close to McRaylen, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Summers wants to lay and pray for a moment but McRaylen keeps working.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Summers tries to pass to full mount but McRaylen defends it.
JR Summers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

JR Summers showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Summers, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

JR Summers really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Malicious Intent Fight Gear logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
