Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Casey Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerard Mousasi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gerard Mousasi is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Casey Edgar! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gerard Mousasi! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick misses from Edgar. Mousasi tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Edgar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mousasi moves in looking to clinch but Edgar pushes him off. Edgar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mousasi manages to avoid it. Edgar tries to close the distance and clinch but Mousasi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Edgar doesn't succeed with the takedown and Mousasi counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Edgar is trying to push Mousasi away but Mousasi has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Mousasi has clasped his hands together around Edgar's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Edgar wants to control but Mousasi postures up. Mousasi remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Mousasi's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The referee asks Mousasi politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Mousasi prefers to stall for the moment though. Edgar tries to buck Mousasi off but Mousasi is having none of it. Mousasi moves into full mount! Mousasi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Mousasi forces the positional change into back control. Mousasi biding his time, looking for the opening.

The fight stays on the outside here - Mousasi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Mousasi needs to keep his hands up - Edgar had a free shot at his head there. Edgar lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Edgar. Mousasi checks a leg kick. Edgar throws an overhand right that lands on Mousasi's shoulder, as Mousasi tries to avoid the shot. Mousasi swats away the attempt to clinch by Edgar. Edgar tries to close the distance and clinch but Mousasi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Mousasi shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Edgar manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Mousasi controls from within his opponent's guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
