Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Staph Aureus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Greg Killingson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killingson blocks a head kick by Aureus.
Good leg kick by Aureus there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Danga de danga de dang - Aureus scores with a four punch combination!
Killingson has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Aureus.

Aureus moves into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aureus with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Greg Killingson has been cut.
Aureus working Killingson over with knees to the body.
Aureus lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Aureus lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Killingson or not.

Killingson looks gassed!
Aureus utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.

Killingson takes an elbow to the temple.
Aureus unloads a knee to the mid-section. Killingson lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Killingson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Aureus smiles and moves away.
Aureus digs a good body shot into Killingson's ribs.
Aureus lands a lovely overhand right.

Killingson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Killingson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Killingson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Aureus is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Aureus gets back to half guard.

Killingson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Aureus sees it coming and defends easily.

Killingson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Aureus has managed to free his arm - good work.
Aureus is trying to control but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Killingson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Killingson is looking for a kimura but Aureus is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Killingson to get the leverage.

Killingson seems to be looking for submissions.
Killingson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Aureus with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Killingson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Killingson is looking for a kimura here.

Aureus is trying to maintain the position but Killingson is very close to passing his half guard.

Killingson is trying for a kimura here. Aureus looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Killingson wins by kimura!
