Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alek Zimmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Jose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson Jose will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alek Zimmer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jackson Jose!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zimmer scores with a nice right hand.
A jab from Zimmer misses.

Zimmer shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Jose working a defensive guard here.

Zimmer drops back looking for a leg! Jose is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jose manages to kick Zimmer off! Zimmer jumps back into Jose's guard.
Zimmer content to stall in guard here.
Zimmer is looking to work some ground and pound but Jose has wrist control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jose avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Zimmer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Jose works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Jose is trying to control the position but Zimmer postures up.
Zimmer wants to control from the top but Jose keeps moving.
Jose really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Zimmer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Zimmer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jose swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Zimmer drives through with a takedown into Jose's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jose trying to strike off his back.
Jose is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Zimmer throwing strikes but missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jose thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

Jose has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Zimmer can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Zimmer drops back looking for a leg! Jose is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jose manages to kick Zimmer off! Zimmer jumps back into Jose's guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Zimmer stops Jose from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jose preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Zimmer trying to control but Jose is working from the bottom.
Zimmer landing with the ground and pound.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Zimmer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Zimmer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Zimmer is fighting to break Jose's control of his arms but Jose is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Zimmer stops Jose from standing up.
Jose keeping full guard, as Zimmer tries to pass.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jose misses with a head kick.

Jose feints and as Zimmer raises his hands in defense, Jose changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Zimmer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Zimmer pushes a forearm under Jose's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Jose is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Alek Zimmer!
