Voronkoff is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: System of a Down-Aerials. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Voronkoff throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wells's waist but Wells gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Voronkoff off to one side.

Voronkoff shoots in for a double leg but Wells sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wells stands up from Voronkoff's guard - Wells perhaps looking for a knockout.
Wells looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Voronkoff shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wells as he jumps to the side.
Wells shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Voronkoff eats them both and turns towards Wells to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Wells throws a series of punches but Voronkoff moves out of range.

It looks like Andrey Voronkoff has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Horrible takedown by Voronkoff or perhaps it was just good defense by Wells which made him look bad.

Voronkoff dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wells. That did some damage!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Wells, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
